Cat in the box
Since July 1, 2020, there are stricter rules for working with a work or lifting bucket.

Ultraluxe hotel
For Amsterdam residents, it is an iconic building: the Palace of Justice on Prinsengracht. From 1836, the judiciary was located here. The landmark building has been vacant for years. It was recently purchased by a Chinese investment company. Over 62 million euros they paid for it. Within three years, the huge complex is to be transformed into Amsterdam’s most luxurious hotel.

The ferry to North
It’s getting busier óon and around the IJ. Amsterdam North has become a highly desirable part of the city. There are 67,000 travelers crossing by ferry daily. By 2030, there will be around 100,000. Therefore, the current drop-off point behind Central Station is going to be completely overhauled. It comes slightly east. Additional land will be created and pontoons will be added. The project has been named “The Leap Across the IJ.

To the bottom
On the outskirts of Almelo is the Leemslagenplas, a 30-meter-deep body of water created by sand excavation. Recently, this puddle has played an important role in cooling the nearby hospital, the ZGT (Hospital Group Twente). Through a two-kilometer pipeline, the hospital draws cold water from the lake to cool their machines and also rooms. Only laying the piping was still quite an operation.

Working in a white world
‘Four hundred driving plates in the snow’. It could easily be the title of a novel. Romantic was the setting at Nederhorst den Berg for sure, but the 900-meter-long roadway was there for a reason.

Floriade 2022
When Floriade opens its gates in Almere next year, visitors should be able to enjoy the scents and colors of flowers and plants in peace. This is now being worked hard on. In fact, the park in which this world horticultural exhibition takes place is right next to the A6.

Almere Poort
Almere, a city only 40 years old, is growing and thriving. In 10 years, more than 300,000 people will live there. Already it is the eighth largest city in the country. It is actually a city made up of a collection of neighborhoods and districts, each with its own layout and appearance.

Flying sound barrier
At a construction site in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn, 200 piles had to go into the ground, but it was not without a struggle. The work was too close to buildings, which would have far exceeded the permitted noise level.
