From the air, it looks like a tight blue carpet, the more than 2,600square meters of solar panels installed on our workshops in recent months. Each one produces an output of about 235 kWh per year, so that together they can provide our entire company with ample “juice.

We are going green!
As the first GWW company in De Ronde Venen, we are now working energy-neutral as a result of the no less than 1,580 solar panels we recently put into operation. In the presence of all the colleagues and their families, Councilman Rein Kroon literally pricked the plug from gray power to green power. Before the end of the year, we will also be off gas.
In doing so, we are taking an important step toward achieving our vision of operating energy neutrally and using renewable energy sources as much as possible. By doing so, we also contribute to achieving the municipality’s climate goals: climate neutral by 2040.
On our special “Family Day,” Alderman Rein Kroon pulled the plug on the “gray” outlet. With that, the power immediately fell out audibly and visibly. Then he poked the plug into the big green socket that brought the entire room back to life with images, lights and sound. “It is of course an exciting moment to switch energy sources, but it is great to see that more and more companies in De Ronde Venen are committed to becoming more sustainable and thus contributing to a better environment. With the 1,580 solar panels, Van Schie has become the leader in our municipality in terms of number,” said Alderman Kroon.
Under our slogan “constantly on the move,” on this family day, in addition to putting the hundreds of solar panels into service, we also presented a new company promo and our self-developed staff app!
