In the Netherlands and far beyond, Van Schie supplies excellent islands or working floors of coupled plate pontoons. Even floating bridges with extreme buoyancy for heavy equipment, we supply with all accessories. These include special ramps, wheel guides, anchoring systems, handrail posts, spud poles and fencing.

How many pontoons you need, what the optimal construction is and what smart applications we can deploy for you depends on the situation. We are happy to advise on that. For example, by doing a stability and strength calculation, a 3D drawing and, of course, sound advice. We deliver the pontoons by truck and launch them with our own cranes. And thanks to the Van Schie coupling system, your island is constructed in no time.

Specifications

The pontoon is a fully welded box-shaped body consisting of sheet steel (S355). The thickness of the steel upper deck is 3 mm. The entire deck has a non-slip coating. The bottom of the pontoon is 2.5 mm thick, while the walls have a thickness of 2 mm. Internally, five transverse bulkheads and two longitudinal bulkheads with round openings are installed, thus a great rigidity is obtained. Three top couplers and four bottom couplers are provided on the short side, and six top couplers and eight bottom couplers are provided on the long side.
