But also by constantly developing new products with their associated “accessories,” such as various types of fencing, ramp gates, radio-controlled spud poles, anti-slip floors, and so on.
On Floriade’s Central Square, Van Schie built a pontoon formation for the Main Stage – sponsored by the Friends Lottery – on which classical concerts will be performed every Sunday, for twenty-five weeks, by top musicians, such as harpist Lavinia Meijer, pianist Mike Boddé, the Metropole Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Royal Air Force.
In addition, Van Schie built a floating platform at the entrance to the Expo site. Visitors can be ferried from here by electric shuttle boat directly to the heart of Floriade Park. This sailing jetty consists of extremely stable VSP pontoons, equipped with fencing, ramps and non-slip floors. The Floriade Expo opened this spring on April 14 and closed its gates on Oct. 9.
