ICT service provider Axians and Van Schie have been nominated for a Computable Award in the SME project category. The nomination is the result of a successful collaboration between the two organizations to develop the Inspection App. It was developed through Mendix’s low-code development platform. This app has significantly simplified and accelerated the claims inspection process at Van Schie.

Nothing against a wheeled telescopic crane, but when it comes to ruggedness and appearance, a crawler crane truly takes the crown. However, a crawler crane also offers much more than just that. Additionally, the operator of a crawler crane, unlike a wheeled telescopic crane, doesn’t need to work from a fixed position.

New to our rentals is this big boy! This Liebherr LTM 1250-6.1 has a 72-meter mast, which can be extended with a jib of another 21 meters.

Of course, Van Schie can also be found with a booth at this year’s InfraTech. Together with Janson Bridging and HP Staal – all part of the Van Schie Group – Van Schie will present itself as an infrastructure specialist in Rotterdam Ahoy.

The construction of the so-called L-screen, the first part of the noise barrier along the A20 is progressing well. In recent weeks, 50 foundation piles with a length of 14 meters have been “vibrated” into the ground and now the first coconut screens have also been installed. The L-shaped screen of about 170 meters in length and 6.5 meters in height is expected to be completed within 3 weeks.

Recently, the “Temporary Framework for Action on PFAS” (THK) came into effect. This THK details how to deal with PFAS-containing soil and dredged material. But what does that mean in practice? And what exactly is PFAS a substance?

As the first GWW company in De Ronde Venen, we are now working energy-neutral as a result of the no less than 1,580 solar panels we recently put into operation. For four days, Rotterdam Ahoy was buzzing with activity during the InfraTech exhibition. With 22,503 visitors, the 13th edition of InfraTech was busier than ever. Van Schie was of course also present with a transparent and innovative booth with no less than 62m2 of video wall.

Under the slogan “continuously in motion,” Mijdrecht-based Van Schie puts a lot of effort into innovation. For example, it is developing a noise barrier to be eventually 3D “printed” on the construction site or roadway. January 2018 – The new year is off to a perfect start! Just delivered our brand new Spierings SK597-AT4 mobile tower crane in Mijdrecht.
