All this to create a construction site for the renovation of all the facades adjacent to the Hofvijver. To conclude, Van Schie has now laid a floor of 800 concrete slabs of 2×2 meters on the existing sand package, as a stable base for the company that will repair the foundations and seal the leaking facades.

Work floor in 'Hofvijver' (Court Pond) completed
In our earlier Journal, we reported extensively on Van Schie’s activities in the Hofvijver. For example, we constructed a veritable “sand bank” along the facades of the Senate and the Trêveszaal up to the turret, surrounded by a steel sheet pile construction: 80 meters long and 15 meters wide.
