VSP - NEXT LEVEL

With a height of 1.25 meters, our newest pontoon is not quite twice as high as the VSP770, but it does have almost twice as much buoyancy. Furthermore, the entire dimensions correspond to the other pontoon. Everything is in a ratio of 2:1, so that all pontoons can be connected both lengthwise and breadthwise. The same dimensions have also been implemented in the dimensions of all accessories and fittings, such as fences, ramps and spud pole holders. With this modular system, entire islands can be built, to size, just as the customer wants. Our employees who build these “islands” also call it “Lego for adults. VSP1250 pontoons are ideally suited for working with excavators and cranes from the water. Sand tippers and other trucks can also drive over them effortlessly. Road plates are not required. That also saves weight. One of the requirements for the VSP1250 was to be “as light as possible, yet as strong as possible. This was achieved perfectly by developing an innovative inner construction in the pontoon. Since this pontoon is also fully robotically welded in order to guarantee consistent quality, this was also taken into account in the design and construction of the pontoon. Like other newly developed pontoons at Van Schie, this type is also equipped with all the necessary certification in order to comply with the latest European laws and regulations. The company Tosec has set up a separate hall especially for Van Schie to make room for the enormous robot, which for the time being will produce 300 pontoons of the VSP1250 type for the company in Mijdrecht.
