Rarely seen such an elegant windmill – sorry – wind turbine. So the producer named her after a famous beautiful lady: Marlene Dietrich.

Van Schie pontons bruggen kranen rijplaten Journaal 2022 najaar (5)

This beautifully lined wind turbine is not nearly as big as all those mastodons in the Flevopolder, but still reaches a height of over 20 meters, with a 6.5-meter rotor. This is a unique concept that is being rolled out across the Netherlands from now on. Van Schie was allowed to post the first of a series.

The great advantage of this concept is that it does not need to use an existing network. The energy is generated where it is used, making it ideally suited for multiple homes at once, remote farms, vacation parks or as a charger for a fleet of vehicles. In fact: a stand-alone system. The vertical rotor is aluminum alloy, so low in weight and rock solid.

Moreover, she (!) is extremely quiet. At high speeds, only the wind can be heard, not the rotor. The necessary electronics are built into the mast foot. Van Schie conducted soil testing for existing cables (KLIC notification), performed the excavation work for the 8-meter-long casing pipe and vibrated the pipe in. Then the wind turbine was placed on top with the telescopic crane. The casing pipe with welded-on end plates was supplied by HP Staal, part of the Van Schie Group. Client: Blok System Supply B.V. in Velsen-Noord.
