Pontoon Bridge

During maintenance activities, a fixed bridge can sometimes be temporarily inaccessible. A pontoon bridge can provide a solution in such cases, allowing traffic to flow smoothly. For these types of floating bridges, plate pontoons are often used. These can be equipped with hinged ramps that can be connected to the structure. Various types of railings and edge protection complete the setup, ensuring safety for all road users.

Modular bridges

Van Schie also offers modular bridges. These bridges can be connected in length and width, allowing them to be customized precisely for the situation. The modular bridges are suitable for bicycle and pedestrian traffic with a load of up to 5kN/m2 according to NEN-EN 1991-2. Of course, we can provide the bridges with our beautiful railing as well.

Dimensional bridges (gangways)

Van Schie offers a range of pedestrian bridges and gangways in various sizes, ranging from 6 to 15 meters. These structures are designed to span short distances. They can be used for crossing narrow water bodies, accessing pontoon islands, or bridging gaps. The advantage of these bridges is their easy installation and the flexibility of the ramps, ensuring a seamless connection to the ground.

Treadway B elements

The Treadway material is used for constructing bridges capable of supporting a load of up to 50 tons. It is commonly utilized as a construction bridge or work bridge. The formation is achieved by connecting a series of elements longitudinally using coupling pins in multiples of 4.60 meters. Additionally, sections of 1.65 meters in length are also available. In terms of width, the sections can be connected using intermediate grids with a width of approximately 1.30 meters. The on and off ramps are facilitated by the attachment of composite ramps of around 5 meters in length. Van Schie can also install various types of support points and abutments in the water, which serve as load-bearing points for the connectable Treadway sections when the span is too large relative to the desired load. Treadway bridges can be constructed both on land and over water. For example, they can be used as a drilling platform on a construction site, as a ramp for a loading dock, or as a cover.
