This spring, the latest generation of the Range Rover Sport was introduced: a beautifully lined hybrid bolide. The official presentation for the entire Benelux was done with allure, a happening that took place in Belgium at an estate near Grimbergen, just a stone’s throw from Brussels.

There, for invited guests and the assembled press, a stylish venue had been built on the edge of the moat of the ‘s Graven Castle, also known as the Lunden Castle. There was nothing to show that this floating ambiance was built on pontoons from Van Schie.

The introduction in Belgium was in stark contrast to that in the Netherlands. The 16 Landrover dealers in ón our country were allowed a quick look under a black sheet during a pre-presentation in a small room in Vinkeveen, after which the red bolide was rushed to the castle in Belgium.

Salient detail:

Lunden Castle is the home of Porsche’s top boss in Belgium. Remarkable because the Porsche and Landrover brands have absolutely nothing to do with each other. They probably looked for a location that most closely matched the “country feel” that the upscale Landrover brand wants to exude. By the way, the Range Rover Sport will not be available until next year.
